Introducing, Leisure Lakes Bikes

Leisure Lakes Bikes has been a family-run business since 1981, with 17 locations across the UK and a huge online presence with their eCommerce bike store. They are a one-stop shop for everything a cyclist could need, with a huge range of bikes, e-bikes, clothing & protective gear.

With multiple finance options available as well as their own servicing options to keep you on the road, the store offers everything from first purchases to lifelong aftercare. 

The challenge

Leisure Lakes Bikes joined Salesfire in 2020 to increase its overall conversion rate, boost customer engagement and improve data capture. It now utilises Salesfire's full suite of solutions.

The solution

Data capture campaign

Leisure Lakes Bikes uses Salesfire’s On-Site Messaging software to capture first-party data from site visitors. Collecting first-party data is imperative with the imminent removal of third-party cookies from Google. Capturing email addresses and mobile numbers allowed Leisure Lakes Bikes to enhance remarketing efforts on a multitude of platforms such as email and paid search.

 

 

The data capture campaign appears at the perfect moment in the user journey to capture attention without interrupting the user-friendly experience that Leisure Lakes Bikes prioritises across their website. The campaign then presented a discount incentive for customers who entered their details. This method allowed us to gather over 4.5x more sign-ups than they were receiving previously.

Email & Messaging

Leisure Lakes Bikes has a number of email campaigns set up, each to retain customers and encourage them to make a purchase. The Mailing List Voucher Confirmation campaign is one of these.

 


The Email & Messaging solution delivered users their discount codes whilst building a more personal relationship with the customer. This works particularly well as purchasing a bike is a high-value, considered purchase and users will often browse a couple of sites on their mobile whilst in the discovery phase. 

 

 

We included details such as the 5-star trust score at the very top of the email, along with each of the services they offer. Keeping these users in the purchasing funnel by staying present through email and SMS is likely to encourage them back to the site.

Within the Mailing List Voucher Confirmation email, our Recommendations tool showcased a number of recommended products, unique to each customer's user journey on the site, further increasing the incentive to return to the site and purchase. We also included the latest arrivals further down the email to highlight their most up-to-date stock.

 

 

The campaign immediately sends an email and an SMS to the user upon sign-up through the data capture campaign. The results of the campaigns are as follows:

Salesfire has influenced 27% of overall revenue since 2020 and increased average order value by 23.33%. The Email & Messaging solution has also had an incredibly positive impact on orders, with an overall conversion rate of 6.9%.

Using Salesfire's On-Site Messaging software and messaging campaigns has been a breeze from start to finish, and the results have been outstanding with an uptick in both sign-ups and conversions from our mailing list & SMS sends.

 

The set-up process was super simple and has the ability to fine-tune every step of the process with trigger points, design and how often a user will see the messaging.

 

Most importantly for us; it ensures that the customers continue to have an easy, non-intrusive browsing experience on our site, while still being directed to products of their interest thanks to the recommendations software.
